Positively Palm Springs -New Television Show Debuts KMIR Saturday 6:30 PM

Positively Palm Springs is a weekly 1/2 hour show shot entirely on location throughout our beautiful Coachella Valley. Each week we will showcase our community's Shining Stars, Hometown Heroes and Parties with a Purpose.

With over 800 non-profits in the valley, there is no shortage of heartwarming and important stories to share with our audience of people helping other people. Simple acts of kindness. Paying it forward.

From the teen volunteers who help stock shelves and serve meals at the CV Rescue Mission to the seniors who read to children struggling with literacy to the accomplished artists sharing their passions with young minds who've never heard a symphony or seen a live performance to desert locals helping physically and mentally challenged adults ride a horse for physical therapy or dance or paint. It's all about shining a light on what's good about our community, not just headline news.

Each week our profiles will be filmed around our community with everyday people sharing their stories and we will encourage viewers to share their own experiences of giving back. We will also shine a light on some of the desert's most influential and powerful residents who have made giving back their life's passion. Why? What drives them? How we can join them?

Behind every volunteer there is a story. We will tell those stories and in turn we will inspire new heroes to emerge. More than ever, television audiences need alternative programming.  Positively PALM SPRINGS will uplift, enlighten, encourage and inspire.
