Assistance League of Palm Springs Desert Area

Operation School Bell provides new school clothing to low income, at-risk elementary school students in the Palm Springs, Desert Sands and Coachella Valley United School Districts. During its 25 years, this program has provided clothing to over 30,000 elementary school students in the Coachella Valley. In addition, Assistance League programs enrich the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities, provide unique experiences for students in the Coachella Valley, provide scholarships for the arts, create special events for military families from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, and operate a thriving Thrift Shop. All of this effort is supported by dedicated members you would like to know and work with. Take action! Join us now and call Donna Presley, Vice President Membership at (760) 347-4939. Assistance League is remarkable in that, unlike most national charities, the focus is on the local community. With support and guidance from the national organization, the 120 chapters of Assistance League design and implement programs to address otherwise unmet local needs in their respective communities. All funds raised stay in the individual communities, helping people in need achieve a better quality of life.
