BIGHORN Gives Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Students a Place to Play

The students and staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Preschool in Indio (OLPH) celebrated the dedication of their new playground  with the generous benefactors who made it possible, BIGHORN Golf Club Charities. As a 2016 recipient of the BIGHORN Cares grant, the eastern Coachella Valley school received $25,000 from BIGHORN Golf Club Charities to purchase a playground system and shade structure so students have a safe place to enjoy physical activity outdoors.

“OLPH dedicates this space to the children here and to all those in the future who will use this playground. We dedicate it also to the good of the earth. We dedicate it for movement and for making friends. We dedicate it for creativity,” said school principal, Diane Arias. “We would like to say thank you to BIGHORN Cares for helping us acquire this beautiful playground.”

Danielle Ortega, Charities Manager for BIGHORN Golf Club Charities, attended the dedication ceremony on behalf of BIGHORN Golf Club Charities and accepted a plaque from the school. The new playground is the latest in several new construction projects currently taking place at OLPH, the biggest of which is a brand new 20,000 sq. ft. preschool building and multi-purpose hall slated for completion in June 2017.
