Friends of Roy's Foundation

Friends of Roy’s Foundation exists solely to fund Roy’s Desert Resource Center, a place with a very simple goal: to get people back on their feet, become self-sufficient, and return to a home of their own. It’s for people who are eager and ready for change. Sure, it’s a safe place to sleep and eat. But we take nourishment further than that. At Roy’s, people are able to learn skills that will help them get a job. Things like how to use touch screen computers and what they need to know for getting a food-handling certificate. And equally important, life skills like how to manage money, rent an apartment, and more. Named in honor of the late Riverside County Supervisor, Roy Wilson, the Center is the very first comprehensive resource center for the transitionally homeless in Coachella Valley. Without exception, everyone who walks through our doors experiences a sense of hope, respect and possibility.
