Palm Springs Cruisin' Association
The Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings together people interested in classic and custom cars of all varieties. With over 250 families as members, the club is one of the largest, most active in Southern California. The club promotes and sponsors car shows, cruises and tours for its members throughout the year. The proceeds of the car shows and events go to various charities in the Coachella Valley. The largest car show in the area is now the Dr. George Charity Car Show which generates donations for the Desert Cancer Foundation in memory of Dr. Sebastian George, a caring oncologist who loved cars and was killed in 2003. It is the major focus for the club each February. Through 2017, the club has donated $770,000 to DCF solely from the proceeds of this annual gathering of cars at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. The club also hosts a car show in the NW parking lot of the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert on the first Saturday of each month from October to May. The goals of the club are to celebrate American’s love of the automobile with events that allow collectors and everyday individuals to showcase their creativity, talents and skills in a fun and family friendly environment.
