Steinway Society of Riverside County


The Steinway Society provides FREE interactive music education classes, live performance programs, and competitions for local school-age children. Every year we interact with over 30,000 children, enhancing their lives through music education. Though we are permitted to use the Steinway name and logo we receive no funding from the Steinway Piano Company. The Society also offers financial awards through our Festival and Concerto competitions and provides music lessons for deserving children with financial need. Programs include Piano Labs in Schools are geared towards elementary school children. Pianos, materials, practice keyboards, teachers and lessons are provided. The Outreach Program provides piano lessons, scholarships, and pianos for talented children with financial need. Music is Wellness Performances bring various artists to Eisenhower Memory Care Center, with special thanks to the Coeta Barker Foundation​, Eisenhower Medical Center and The Auen Foundation​. Classics Concerts in Schools offer age-appropriate, interactive performances engage and inspire children K-12 with piano, dance, opera and jazz concerts. Mr. McSymphony"(TM) is a series of 5 classes bringing music appreciation to 1st-5th grade students: classical music, symphony orchestra, opera, jazz, and instruments. Basics of an Orchestra is a power point presentation at the 4th and 5th grade levels on the four major instruments. Ukulele Labs are geared towards 4th and 5th grade students. Students receive their own ukulele and all materials. Teachers for group lessons are also provided. We hold an annual Doctor's Concert Fundraising Luncheon featuring local doctors who perform during the event. This year’s luncheon will be at the Toscana Country Club on February 11th. The Steinway Society offers membership and sponsorship opportunities to our supporters, as we strive to impact more children's lives with music.
