Voices For Children

Our Mission Voices for Children transforms the lives of abused children by providing them with volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). Our Vision We believe that every child deserves a safe and permanent home, and to that end, will review and monitor every court file in the system, provide a CASA to every child in the foster care system who needs one, and advocate to improve the lives of foster children. Founded in 1980, Voices for Children is a private, nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, and supervises thousands of CASAs who advocate for the rights and well-being of children in foster care. In 2015, Voices for Children was asked by the State of California Judicial Council to assume responsibility for the CASA program in Riverside County in addition to its existing CASA program in San Diego County. In June 2015, VFC’s Riverside County CASA program launched. As the only agency designated by the courts to provide CASA volunteers in San Diego and Riverside Counties, Voices for Children has a vision to Serve Every Child: to provide a CASA to every foster child who needs one.
